The firmware of PalmSens
handheld potentiostat allows application of all relevant electrochemical
methods:
- Normal pulse voltammetry
- Differential pulse voltammetry
(pulse time 1 ms – 300 ms)
- Square wave voltammetry
(frequency 1 Hz – 400 Hz)
- Ac-Voltammetry
(frequency 28 Hz – 90 Hz)
- Chronopotentiometric stripping or PSA
(sampling rate 40 kHz)
- Potentiometry at open circuit or constant
current (interval time > 0.1 s)
- Amperometric detection
- Pulsed amperometric detection
(pulse time 1 ms – 1 s)
- Amperometry (interval time > 0.001 s)
- Linear sweep and cyclic voltammetry
(scan rates from 1
mV/s
to 10 V/s)
The stripping methods
include the possibility to perform ‘subtractive
voltammetry’.
The background curve is measured immediately after the original
voltammogram.
