Wireless control of PalmSens using Bluetooth
technology
PalmSens can be controlled by the Pocket PC by means of a wireless connection based on the Bluetooth technology.
PalmSens has to be equipped with a Bluetooth module, attached to the serial connector. This module is available as an option. The Pocket PC software operates in the same way as with the standard serial cable.
The Bluetooth module lowers the battery lifetime to approx. 4 to 5 hours continuous operation of PalmSens. The range of wireless operation is 10 m or more.
Update for existing users
Requirements for Pocket PC
For wireless control of PalmSens, a Pocket PC with Bluetooth technology is required.
On this Pocket PC PalmScan and PalmTime version 1.41 or higher must be installed. These updates are free of charge.
Requirements for PalmSens
To have your PalmSens made compatible for wireless control, some internal modifications have to be made, therefore it’s nescessary to send your PalmSens to Palm Instruments.
