Palm Instruments cooperates with three producers of disposable sensors

BVT Technologies (CZ) - Available from Palm Instruments

BVT Technologies produces a range of substrates for electrochemical sensors and biosensors with one or three electrodes as well as array electrodes. The working electrodes can be made of gold, platinum, silver or graphite. The reference electrode is made of Ag/AgCl. A description of the sensors and accessories available from Palm Instruments can be found here.

University of Florence - Available from Palm Instruments

The group of Prof. Marco Mascini from the University of Florence produces screen printed electrodes on a plastic base. These SPE's have either a graphite working or a gold working electrode and a counter electrode and a silver reference electrode. These sensors can be obtained from Palm Instruments.
Recently this group and the company EcoBioServices&Researches developed ready-to-use strips for the detection of photosynthetic inhibitors (herbicides and heavy metals). The instrument can be used in the laboratory as well as in the field.

NEW

A new 8-sensorarray with graphite working electrodes is available. The sensorsarray can be applied with the PalmSens CH8 multiplexer configuration and is compatible with the standard 8-channel multipipette.
Applications are found in immunochemistry and genotoxicity tests.

DropSens

FlowcellDropSens designs and manufactures carbon, gold and Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes screen-printed electrodes. A specific connector is also available.

The DropSens sensors can be used with their flowcell.

DiagnoSwiss

DiagnoSwiss developed a new electrochemical device, the GRAVI-Chip for rapid ELISA (*).

GRAVI™-Chip: Microchannels to perform rapid ELISA (8 or 16-assays in less than 10 min) with standard ELISA chemistry in sub-microL volume.
GRAVI™-Chip is equipped with an electrochemical readout which renders the instrumentation compact and suitable for small to middle size labs.
GRAVI™-Chip is furthermore compatible with SBS format robotics and with mass spectrometric detection.

Sensors for heavy metal determinations with sensors from IVA (Russia)

IVA (Ekaterinburg) produces thick film sensors as well as disposable sensors for stripping voltammetry. An example of the use of the IVA sensor is found here.

- Determination of Cu, Cd, Pb, Zn, Sn, Ni, Cr, Mn, Mo, W and Hg,
- Analysis without addition of mercury,
- Batch and flow-through systems.
