Developing PalmSens or EmStat software in Visual Studio .NET
Palm Instruments also provides an SDK (Software Development Kit) for Visual Studio .NET. This development kit contains the following libraries:
- PalmSens.Core.DLL: all nessesary classes and functions for performing measurements and doing analysis with PalmSens
- PalmSens.DataFiles: loading and saving method- and datafiles
- PalmSens.Plot.DLL: plot object for data visualisation
- PalmSens.Comm.DLL: communications interface for PalmSens
- PalmSens.Controls.DLL: a collection of basic user controls
Using the SDK, sophisticated PalmSens applications can be created for Windows XP or Vista in an efficient way.

Users can develop their own application program by using the communication protocol. Basic commands are available for controlling the potentiostat and applied potentiostat. The available measurement techniques can be applied by sending the values of the relevant parameters.
