PalmSens can be controlled from a Pocket PC.
Two programs are available:
PalmScan - used for voltammetric scans
PalmTime - used for amperometric and potentiometric measurements
The programs provide the possibility to specify all parameters which are relevant for the measurement and calculations. Measurements can be stored on the Pocket PC and easily be transferred to the desktop PC.
The firmware of PalmSens handheld potentiostat allows application of all relevant electrochemical methods:
- Normal pulse voltammetry
- Differential pulse voltammetry (pulse time 1 ms – 300 ms)
- Square wave voltammetry (frequency 1 Hz – 400 Hz)
- Ac-Voltammetry (frequency 28 Hz – 90 Hz)
- Chronopotentiometric stripping or PSA (sampling rate 40 kHz)
- Potentiometry at open circuit or constant current (interval time > 0.1 s)
- Amperometric detection
- Pulsed amperometric detection (pulse time 1 ms – 1 s)
- Fast amperometry (interval time > 0.001 s)
- Linear sweep and cyclic voltammetry (scan rates from 1 mV/s
to 10 V/s)
