Multiplexer

- number of channels 8
- on resistance 80 ohm
- leakage current: 10 pA typical
- inputs working, reference and counter electrode
- outputs 8 x working, 8 x reference and 8 x counter electrode
and reference and counter electrode
- cable high density (centronics) cable with 36 leads

The multiplexer can be used in different sensor configurations:

  • Sensorarrays with up to eight working electrodes sharing one counter and one reference or one combined counter/reference. All working electrodes either have the same potential or all not-selected working electrodes are at open potential.
  • Sensorarrays with up to eight working, eight reference and eight counter electrodes. All not-selected sensors are at open circuit.
  • Sensorarrays with up to eight working and eight combined reference/counter electrodes. Either all sensors have the same potential or not-selected sensors are at open circuit.

Bipotentiostat module

PalmSens can be expanded with bipotentiostat module. This module is applied when the sensor or electrochemical cell has two working electrodes.
The bipotentiostat module is supported by the PSLite software. The methods amperometric detection, linear sweep and cyclic voltammetry can be applied to measure the current of WE1 and WE2 simultaneously.

- dc-potential range ± 2 V
- dc-potential resolution 1 mV
- potential accuray <= 0.4 % offset and 0.2 %
- current ranges 1 nA to 10 mA (8 ranges)
- maximum current ± 10 mA
- current resolution 0.1 % of current range
1 pA on lowest current range
- accuracy <= 0.2 % offset and 0.2 % at 100 nA to 1 mA

Automatic stirrer controlled by PalmSens

PalmSens can be used with a modified automatic stirrer (from IKA) for stripping voltammetry. It is automatically switched on and off by PalmSens.
