Electrochemistry happens everywhere — in busy laboratories, classrooms, and workshops, as well as in remote field research sites where curiosity and creativity collide. The PalmSens Photographic Competition was launched to showcase and celebrate these real moments: the people, places, experiments, and ideas that bring electrochemistry to life.

By capturing the human side of research, such as the problem-solving, collaborations, creative setups behind every experiment, photography offers a unique window into the scientific journey, revealing aspects of the work that rarely appear in papers or presentations. Beyond recognizing individual creativity and scientific value, the competition serves to highlight the teams, institutions, and partnerships that make this vital work possible.

In this spirit the competition has welcomed a broad and diverse range of global contributors, including students, researchers, engineers, educators, technicians, and hobbyists from universities, research institutes, companies, startups, and field projects.

We have greatly enjoyed receiving creative entries depicted authentic, hands-on electrochemical work where PalmSens instruments were actively enabling research, teaching, or practical applications. We want to thank all of you who have taken part to share your research story and we look forward to sharing those with our community.
