Description

The 7-port USB 3.0 hub and the 6 USB-A to USB-C adapters, allow you to connect 6 Sensit Smart potentiostats to your notebook or PC, via a single USB 3.0 cable. The remaining USB-port, can optionally be used to connect to another hub to add another 6 Sensit Smart potentiostats called daisy-chaining. The hub is backward compatible with both USB 2.0 and 1.1 standards, so can also be used in conjunction with older PCs that don’t feature USB 3.0 ports. The hub can also be used as a charging port for other PalmSens instruments. Use the included power adapter for connecting 10+ Sensit Smarts.

MultiTrace is the research software that allows performing multiple electrochemical experiments at the same time. Each channel can function independently run a different measurement, or all channels can perform simultaneously the same experiment.

The physical form of the hub and position of USB ports affords sufficient space for larger devices or equipment to be connected without cables becoming excessively tangled. The product dimensions are 86 x 86 x 14 mm. SuperSpeed USB 3.0 compliant, the hub supports data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps.

The compact design, stylish metal housing and low 85g weight, make this hub an ideal companion both at home and on the move. The addition of a power adapter means battery-sapping activities such as data transfer or charging can also be handled using mains power. No drivers are required, simply plug & play.

Package includes:

  • 7-port USB hub
  • 6 USB-A to USB-C converters
  • EU / UK Power adapter

When ordering from the US an adapter will be provided.

Software

MultiTrace for Windows

The MultiTrace software gives you full control over the channels of our multi-channel instruments or multiple single-channel instruments. MultiTrace can be used in two different modes; the Individual and Simultaneous mode.

Individual mode

All potentiostats are used independently. Measurements can be started on all channels with one click, or one at a time on individual channels. Each measured curve is shown in its own plot.

Simultaneous mode

All channels run the same measurement at the same time (optionally hardware-synchronized). The measured curves are displayed in a single plot and can be stored together in a single data file or in separate data files.

Software Development Kits

The PalmSens Software Development Kits (SDKs) for .NET can be used with any of our instruments or OEM potentiostat modules to develop your own software. The SDK’s come with a set of examples that shows how to use the libraries.

PalmSens SDKs with examples are available for the following .NET Frameworks:

  • WinForms
  • WPF
  • Xamarin (for Android)

MethodSCRIPT™ communications protocol

The EmStat4 potentiostat module has an on-board parser for the MethodSCRIPT scripting language. This language allows developers to program a human-readable script for the EmStat4 module on any platform or operating system. The simple script language allows for running electrochemical techniques supported by EmStat4 and makes it easy to combine different measurements and other tasks.
